ALL WEEKEND LONG
(COMMING SOON) Listen Now
All Weekend Long was wrote in Feb 2022 after hearing a man speak one time about what makes a good song. The man said "All of the best songs have one thing in common. They make you want to dance." After hearing that, I thought to myself: "Do any of my songs make me want to dance?" Nope. So I sat down and wrote a Dirty Southern Rock tune... Check it out.
Bluesman was wrote in January of 2021 one week after the passing of my grandmother. I was sitting at my home, in Houston, one week after she had passed and decided to get up and play the keyboard. I began playing a 1, 4, 5 progression in C just like she had taught me when I was a young boy. I guess that I had been thinking a lot about our conversations over that past couple of years and how well she knew me. Then I began explaining a quick history of our conversations about my life.
MY FIRST ALBUM
I was in my early 20's when I began writing and recording these songs. These 12 songs, along with many others, were wrote between Aug 2004 - March 2008. At the time, I had a lot going on in my life. I was going through a divorce, deployed to Afghanistan and struggling to maintain distant relationships. There are 3 songs on this album that I cling to and they are: Girl You Surround Me, Late Night Lovin' and Poor Boys of America. I want to thank my friend Steven Snipes for helping me write on a couple of these songs. I want to thank Dave Bechtel for producing the album. I hope you enjoy it.
